Somewhat belatedly, you may wish to know that Roger Andreason sadly passed away on 21st May. Seen here at Silverstone in 1978, Roger was perhaps best known in Magnette circles for building 'Bumble' around 1970. In its distinctive brown and cream livery, he and his wife Judy raced Bumble successfully in the early years of the Classic Sports Car Club series. He later drove it to great effect in a number of the Classic Marathon rallies, including to Morocco. The car is still competing and under a new owner has been seen several times at Goodwood Revival.

In fact as other obituaries have mentioned, Roger drove a wide variety of cars from Formula 3 to Jaguars and a Cosworth Lola over a long career starting in the 1960s. After taking over Chevron Cars with Tim Colman in 1983 he was responsible for preparing and tuning cars for a number of world sportscar championships, and mentoring several drivers to early success.

This is the first book to bring together all aspects of Magnette history, development, ownership,   restoration and modification. Copies will be available to purchase at Register events, from MGCC headquarters, from Amberley or from Amazon and other booksellers
