This came to me as a parts car, but it has a title, and is mostly complete. It is missing Head radiator, hood, right rear quarter panel, and some chrome trim. Tacoma imports sticker on the cowl, with sales date in 1957. On the rear window it looks like it had a university of Oregon sticker on it. The car had been parked in a barn since 1978 ish. It is the stock color but has been repainted. Tobias Robinson, Oregon, USA

Here's a picture of our 1957 ZB.It has had the original engine replaced with a MGA 1500 at some point in its past. Before it adopted us it had been off the road approx. 15 years according to the old registration. We are currently working to turn it into a reliable driver- then we'll start working on the cosmetics. Safety Fast,

Here's a pictrue of my ZA. In the picture, taken in Palisade, Colorado, the bumper has been removed temporarily to fit welded adapters for flat towing. The car was originally a black-plate California car bought from Kjell Qvale by the Pillsbury baking family. Then sold to their gardener and then to Mimi Willis, who moved from California to Palisade, CO. The car stopped running with 53,640 miles on the odometer and sat for 30 years in the desert.

I am sending photos of the " before and after" restoration project of the MG. Actually I brought the MG back to its original condition and thereafter neglected it very unfortunately. I have however started the Re - Restoration of same and I hope to finish it and have it road worthy once again by the end of the year. You will see from the pic's it was a major job that I performed the first time round. This time however the magnitude is far less I am sure.

The car was an export model purchased in the UK by its original owner with the intention of exporting back to the US. I purchased the car from the estate of a wealthy doctor who used it as his summer car on Long Island, NY. I am its second owner. Apart from a re-spray it has never been restored. I guess he got tired of the original grey - I would too as it is a bit drab! The car was always pampered and has so little rust it's unbelievable. I won't ever restore it as I love the original patina, but now I too am thinking about a slight change of colour. Fashions change you know. Eric Wilson,Vancouver, BC,Canada
Now owned by Adrian Sawyer in Kemptville, Ontario, who is the fourth owner
Changed hands to Michael Middleton in 2014.

The picture was taken on the Albula Pass (Canton of Grisons, Switzerland) at an altitude of about 2100 m. The car is an exellent climber and until now I never had problems with overheating, not even on the Stelvio, with more than 2800 m the peak of all European passes.
The car was first registred in Basel, Switzerland, on October 1st, 1956 as a RHD export version. During the fifties it was not unusual to drive RHD cars in Switzerland. The car always remained in Switzerland, having a extensive restauration in the early eighties. Since then the various previous owners did not use the car often, so it is still in perfect condition and very reliable.

I have been a register member since June 1982 when I bought this Twilight Grey ZA from the original owner. Now I have owned the car longer than he did and added a few small adventures. The car was registered in Gosport where I bought it and has resided in the Worthing area since then. Restoration work was done by the Shortens in the late 80s and has served over the years both as family transport and of the focus of summer outings when our sons were small. In the 90s the car was seen regularly at register events when I served as first competition secretary then chair of the register. Her last overseas trip was to the Champagne region for our 25th anniversary, and we have added 10 more years of very little use since then! She doesn t get out much these days, but she makes a once a year pilgrimage to the Goodwood Revival in September, surely the biggest period fancy dress party in the world. I have just been offered this car which is in a state of disrepair. It has been stripped of many parts many years ago, I have confirmed that this was before 1970 but cannot tell when, however the DVLA have a record of someone registering an MG Magnette with same registration (727APD) in 1982 and using till 1997, my chassis plate has been removed!! So read the number off the body stamping i think I've done it accurately but has been rusting for very long time. I need any information I can get to get this car back on the road, we all know how the DVLA are in cases like this! I suspect the other one is a ringer unfortunately!

I bought it three years ago in boxes - two previous owners had disassembled it and done some body work and applied an incorrect Varitone paint scheme. I assembled enough to get it operational and rebuilt the brakes and converted it with the help of the Hints and Tips section to negative ground and an alternator. I have to build a complete interior for it and I want to add a Hi-Gear 5 speed kit. My son and I are having a lot of fun with it now.

Since I registered my Magnette, I have completed building the 3-Main 1800 with a Derrington pattern cross-flow head and instlled the Hi-Gear Ford T9 transmission with an MGB 3.91 differential and added disk brakes. Recently, I was able to attend MG2016 at Louisville, KY US and park my Magnette in a group of 14 other Mangettes
