The Wiltshire weekend is now just a one day event, on 15th July, due partly to limited accommodation in the area because of an air-show on the same weekend. The planned visit to Lacock Abbey has unfortunately been cancelled, but the Saturday programme will still include Swindon Steam museum, Register AGM and evening meal. Please contact Mac Pile (01793 851169) if you plan to attend - he may be able to advise on local B&B options if you do wish to stay overnight.

The family of Trevor Jones (and the Register committee), would like to thank everyone who attended the event at Wroxall Abbey Hotel on 5th July, to celebrate Trevor's life. Peter Martin and Grant Howlett gave short tributes on behalf of the Register, including a piece from the North American Z Magnette Group.

Trevor's daughter Anna says "I want to say thank you to everyone who attended on Wednesday for Dad's memorial. I have a cherished black and white picture of Dad from back in the day with a row of MG cars, it was this I wanted to recreate in his memory. The response was truly overwhelming. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It means the world to us all"

After further discussion it has been decided that the venue for Trevor's farewell event will be changed to Wroxall Abbey Hotel, by kind invitation of Grant Howlett, and will start at 2pm on 5th July (coffee will be available for early arrivals). This seems a very appropriate venue, as Trevor was involved in organizing Register events based at Wroxall, and it will enable as many as possible who knew him to attend. This will be very much a celebration of Trevor's life, so no need to wear sombre clothes ! There will be plenty of space for parking Magnettes and other classics, and rooms will be available for those requiring them - contact the hotel directly. As previously requested, please let Peter Martin know if you're planning to come.
