Original Duch car with orig. registration. Car bought new by fam. Van den Brink at Garage Bolland in The Hague. Second owner was a mechanic, who bougt the car in 1969 from the garage where the car traded in and kept it a few years. Third owner was Hielke dam from Heerenveen, who kept it from about 1970 till about 1979. Fourth owner was Piet Jan van Duren at Ruinen. he owned the car untill November 7th of 1984 and sold it to the 5th owner Oebele Bruinsma at Roden. After a year he brought the car back to Piet Jan van Duren. On February 20th of 1987 I bought the car and so I believe I am the 6th owner. Car is, after it has been used as the second family car until 1995, under restoration and waiting for completion. |

This car was probably the worst of the bunch with more bubbling rust apparent all round. Only suitable for spares in my view but again, some enthusiast might need to get away from his family and responsibilities and spend a lot of time in the garage. The underside and floor panels were in poor state where it would be easy to punch through, but I didn't want to inflict any other damage by doing so. Upholstery was poor and carpets were so wet they'd need to dry out before you could burn them! Two of the doors didn't close properly because the mechanisms were siezed up so everything will just get wetter with time. |

Seen on ebay: The car was imported from the UK in 1988, and kept by the same owner until recently, He brought the car to Tampa Florida and used the car up until 1994, when he took the car off the road to restore the vehicle to its former glory, it has been dry stored over the last 22 years and has had the interior completely redone to a very good standard, all though he never got round to the body work, Car starts on the button, and Chrome is excellent. |

Purchased in 1956 in Armidale NSW Australia by my father Norman McGrath . The MG 457 plates are original NSW issue not personalised plates. The old man loved his Maggie, but being a country lad, he was into horses, so Maggie carried it's fair share of hay bales and saddles. Originally dark grey, Dad figured MGs should be red and got his mate to give it a (shabby) paint job in the late 60s. Apart from the colour change the car is in original condition with 67,300 miles. I've had it since 1990 and kept it garaged, dry and running. My sons are 19 & 17 and we've been working on the mechanics recently, it's great to have their Grandpa's car to tinker with. I still have the three original manuals, very helpful. We wont go concours on it as we want to keep lots of it's personality. The body is rust free, I think we'll go back to the original colour, new front seat leather and carpets, the headlining is in good condition and dash is still pretty good. Might put wires on it one day? |

Registered September 1957 in Surrey. Birch Grey/Black. Having done some research on this car, it has had homes in Surrey, Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, London, Kent and Hampshire. In the early 80s, it was fitted with a 3 brg 1800 engine and O/D 3 syncho box. We acquired it in late 2015, after it had been repainted, in Old English White and a Chevrolet colour, and have been using it whilst improving items as we’ve gone along ( a kind of rolling restoration). There have been some additions of period style modifications, using modern equivalents. |
