There have been 3 previous owners, and I purchased the car on 20 April 2007. The car was restored by the second owner in 1986 at a cost of over £5k since when it has covered 2,500 miles only. The 2nd owner had the car for 36 years! I have a full history file including the mint original handbook and a complete original tool-kit.

This particular car has had only two owners from new and has been in the current ownership since 1978. These upgrades include the fitment of a more powerful ZB engine; front disc brakes; Spax shock absorbers; halogen headlamps; indicators rather than trafficators; generator to alternator conversion and the fitment of a stainless steel exhaust.
It has also been fitted with a sophisticated Tracker anti-theft system with a lifetime subscription. So if it ever does get stolen, the police will always be able to find it via the magic of satellite tracking technology – whatever would Palmer have made of that!

I recently took the front off side splash guard off to see what was hidden horrors were hidden this surprised me , as can be seen the inner wing area is in excellent condition hopefully the near side is as good.
The colour is lightblue with black leather and blue pipping, I am told not may cars were made with this colour combination.

This is my current ZB which I bought at the Silverstone International in 2001. I have thoroughly checked it over mechanically and fitted a 4.3 diff for the long drives. Otherwise the car is very original and has only 48,500 miles on the clock. I believe this may be accurate in view of the lack of wear on the mechanical parts. Registered September 1957 in Surrey. Birch Grey/Black.

Having done some research on this car, it has had homes in Surrey, Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, London, Kent and Hampshire. In the early 80s, it was fitted with a 3 brg 1800 engine and O/D 3 syncho box.

We acquired it in late 2015, after it had been repainted, in Old English White and a Chevrolet colour, and have been using it whilst improving items as we’ve gone along ( a kind of rolling restoration). There have been some additions of period style modifications, using modern equivalents.
