17th Magnette Day

This year the continental MAGNETTEs met for their annual event in Perlé located close to the Belgium border in Luxenburg. Six MAGNETTEs followed the invitation of Sonia & Yves, who were again our hosts.

On friday the cars and crews arrived from different destinations and a first 'hello" to new and old friends finished very late after midnight. Neverteheless the crews were ready after a relaxed breakfast for a scenic drive around Luxenburg and Belgium across a very nice landscape. A picnic at lunchtime was held before we had a tour to see how chocolate is made.

The main time was spent chatting to each other and new participants had time to ask for technical support and find some faults. The evening was spent at a bonfire and it again became very late!

On sunday we we had the opportunity to visit a small museum in Perlé, which is donated to the death of the 385th bomb group. Two planes touched in December 1944 and crashed. Most of the crew died. This little museum shows some parts of the crashed planes, as well as uniforms and other parts of WWII. Worth a visit!

Here are pictures of another wonderful weekend:
