MG100 Cavalcade and South-East Centre weekend

As part of the MG centenary celebration, a cavalcade travelled from John O' Groats to Lands End, with some MGs making the whole journey, and many others joining for sections. Magnettes were well represented, with Clive Webb Longbridge to Gaydon, Paul Batho on the Abingdon to Baldock leg, and Jack and Kevin Skuce joining Bob Williamson for Baldock to Dartford

The cavalcade arrived at the Fairmile Hotel, Cobham on 17 May in time for the South-East Centre MG100 weekend, including a Sunday event at Brooklands museum. There were about 12 Magnettes amongst the dozens of MGs on display. John Langford was a class winner in the Pride of Ownership with his fine Farina, and Ian Simpson's ZA was third. Paul Batho took his ZA up the Test Hill, a short steep climb opened just after the main circuit, in 1909 - watch this short video
