 EVENTS  2019
Dates - Pictures - Reports - Worldwide!

Magnettes & Spies

A visit to Bletchley Park (near Milton Keynes) home of the WWII codebreakers, which is now a museum showing the wartime activities and development of early computers.  If using sat-nav please look out for brown road signs, as the postcode may not take you exactly to the entrance, which is opposite the railway station.

There is a discount on entry price to £15.50 (MGCC members) or £16 (non-members) but to take advantage of this you must confirm with John Harris in advance, and return this form with cheque by 1 April

Magnettes & Steam

Later than usual, this traditional event will be at the Dean Forest Railway, Gloucestershire, and if you wish to make a weekend of it there is hotel and self-catering accommodation available - see wyedeantourism.co.uk. There is also a possibility of an organized railway workshop visit on Sunday 5th - check here for updated information

First train is 10.30am, taking about an hour and a half for the round trip to Parkend then Lydney and back - but you may wish to spend some time in Lydney as well. Day Rover tickets are normally £13 (£12 concessions) but if sufficient people confirm with David Griffiths in advance it may be possible to secure a 15% group discount - in any case please phone David on 01423 873132 if planning to come, so parking space can be reserved

Shelsley Walsh

This classic motorsport festival has been chosen by the MGCC Midland Centre for their Summer Day Out and we have been invited to join them. The observant reader will have realised that this event is the same date as MG Live would have been. Shelsley Walsh near Worcester is the world's oldest motor circuit still using the original course

Said by many to be a mini Goodwood Revival with the addition of other Magnette owners to chat to plus judging for our own register competition. It looks a superb day out but see for yourself on www.classicnostalgia.co.uk You will have to book your tickets online and will require your MGCC Number to be eligible for discount (£18 per person for the day)
