Please note the Somerset weekend planned for 24/25 April has been rescheduled to 3/4 July

Although we hope that events will be able to run as planned, please check for updates in case local restrictions make it necessary to alter arrangements. The MG Car Club has issued guidance for members, Registers and Regions during the outbreak, which can be found here



Magnettes and Trams

A visit to the Crich Tramway Museum. Display your Magnette in the recreated period village, ride the trams and explore the period buildings, including a pub and tearoom !

The museum are generously offering free admission for car and driver but you must book in advance (and to be allowed into the special parking on Main Street). Somerset weekend

Visiting Haynes Motor MuseumMontacute House and Chew Valley Lake, with Saturday evening dinner in Glastonbury. You'll need to arrange your own accommodation, and some visits must be booked in advance, so please read this information first. 

Shelsley Walsh Classic Nostalgia

First used in 1905, the Shelsley Walsh hill climb hosts a weekend with classic racing and road cars. We hope to have dedicated Register parking and our gazebo, and please check for updates as it may be possible to obtain a discount on ticket prices for MGCC members 

International Magnette Weekend

This will be the 25th anniversary of the event, and will be based around Westervald in Germany. The date has been chosen so that visitors can travel on to the MG European Event of the Year afterwards

Magnettes and Steam/Harrogate weekend

Meet from 10am on Saturday at Embsay station (BD23 6QX) on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway for attractions including the workshops/engine shed, nearby Skipton and Bolton Abbey, and of course a steam train ride, including Cream Tea and Fish & Chips specials. The specials will have reserved seats for Register members but you must book in advance. Please read the information and booking details, then contact John Beesley (077925 43043) to arrange payment

On Sunday we will be putting on a display as usual at the Harrogate MG Club show, at the Pateley Bridge showground

Kop Hill Climb

Enjoy a wide variety of vintage, classic and other exotic cars at the Kop Hill Climb both in the paddock and running the hill. Booking in advance is required for entry to the club display area

Lou Shorten Tribute weekend

Meet as usual on Saturday at the home of John Shorten, 44 The Street, Lenwade NR9 5SD for informal chat and a buffet lunch. Evening meal and prize-giving at the Wensum Valley Hotel (mention the Magnette Register if booking a room, for preferential rates). On Sunday there will be a visit to the North Norfolk Railway
