Moving the Magnette out to swap cars in the garage so I could use the pit and smelt fuel after starting. A trail of fuel seen on the road and drive. I thought it was just a float sticking, turned out a rubber hose in the boot from the pump had given up the ghost and perished on a bend. Not good, a boot full of sprayed petrol which was pouring out of the spare wheel well hole. Lucky I wasn't on a trip out somewhere. So the moral of this tale, check your rubber fuel hoses, before it's too late.
