Thank you David that is great I shall look into doing the same. I am in New Zealand so probaly not practicable to send to me thanks anyway.

I will let you know how I get on after I get round to doing them.

I did eventually give them a good wash & they survived! Still very poor colour, so I mixed up some leather (water soluble)dye left over from a re-colouring exercise & they came up really well.
Where are you? I'll send you an egg cup full of dye (you don't need much!) to dilute 75% with water. Wear rubber gloves ....it stains.

I can't help -Sorry! I have mine off the car & the first thing I will try is a GENTLE wash! They are disgustingly dirty! Then I'll think about dye.....I wonder if the seat refurb dye would work? probably rot them!!

Hi Has anyone dyed their rope handles? If so with what type of dye. I have maroon/red interior and wish to refurbish my rope handles.
