My original 15GA engine has been bored to 1588CC, then out to 1620CC (1588 +0.030") Cylinder walls are still over 0.100" thick. I would be happy with 1622CC standard pistons, but don't think I would dare go any further.

The critical element is the centricity of the cylinders in the bore. BMC were not terribly accurate with the sand castings. I would recommend a very competent machine shop makes the final decision.

Can someone tell me what the maximum capacity that a Magnette engine can be bored out too. Fred Roberts.
