All the wiring is now in place,all working except the windscreen wiper, I did realize that the wiring diagram is incorrect and shows a 2 wire motor and the new loom has 3 wire parking motor wires, now I think I connected the right wires but cannot get motor working, I have live green to fuse and live green /black to switch with ignition on and earth wire E to body , I have put the dash back and hope that the switch has the right wires on it as it is a pain to get to, any thoughts on what the problem is? the wiper did work with the original loom

Yes, the diagram shows the fusebox inverted but the actual numbers should be correct - just printed the other way up. - At least mine were - see picture.



The other discrepancy is in the wiring of the windscreen wipers. The diagram shows only two wires as for a non-parking wiper but the cars were fitted with self parking wipers that need three connections. The correct connections and colours are:
No.1 on the motor = Black/green (62) to the wiper switch
No.2 on the motor = Green (17) from the fuse unit
E on the motor Black (57) to ground.
The second connection on the wiper switch has to be Black (57) to ground.

As far as I remember the only other head scratching I had to do was to sort out how to wire up the DB10 relay for separate indicators.

Since I have a period +ve earth radio and +ve earth electronic conversion on my SU fuel pump and ignition circuit (Pertronix), I elected to stick with that arrangement and keep the dynamo.

No problems so far, but I don't do much night driving.

Just looking at the fuse box and the numbers 1 2 3 4 do not correspond to the wiring diagram from the handbook, was your the same ?, I will just follow wiring diagram and ignore the numbers on the fuse box Cheers Reuben

Yes I would agree. I have attached a photo taken of that area of my ZB when I first bought it. You will notice that the horn relay was originally mounted high beside the fuse box, but when I replaced the harness the horn connections were lower down so I relocated the relay.

On the bulkhead there is a holed grommet between the heater motor and the control box,on my old loom additional wiring was routed through it ,some additions and a yellow and a white rear indicator wires, I think washer tubes should go through it now, as original? and the indicator wires now go through the replacement loom ,your comment would be appreciated
